Evaluation Activity 4

This is our typical target audience member.

Our typical audience member is most likely to be into watching crime dramas on television. Television programs such as Dexter, The Following and True Detective are all crime dramas that they are likely to watch. They are likely to watch these crime dramas as they all involve serial killers and lots of murders. These programs are not too scary they are more based around the detective and crime side of things rather than towards the horror side. This is much like our film because our film does not contain any real horror it is mainly minimal amounts of horror such as when our villain is first shown rather than it containing serious horror from start to finish. This means that our typical audience member is into some scenes of horror but is not a huge fan of gore and the ultimate horror movies. We decided not to use our target audience members as people who were into the extremely terrifying horror because they may not enjoy our film. This is because our film does not contain strong horror which means they may be very bored by our film and will not find it scary at all as they are used to more terrifying scenes of horror. Our typical audience member would range from around the age of 15/16 to 35 years old however we would be mainly aiming at the teenagers who are specifically male. The type of male we are aiming at is someone who is daring, curious and not afraid to try anything new. We are aiming at this particular type of person because we believe that aiming at someone who is daring, and also curious is most likely to enjoy our film. This is because they will want to know what happens next as they are curious. As we have left our film on a cliffhanger it means that they will be most likely to enjoy it because they will be trying to figure out what has happened rather than just forgetting about our film.
